The heavy feature light, hung properly
Fitting a large ring chandelier onto an existing rose — ceiling checked for a decent fixing, the old fitting stripped out, dust sheets down over the furniture first. It's the kind of job people put off for a year and then can't believe took an afternoon.
A rear elevation that works after dark
Up-and-down wall lights spaced along the back of the house, cabled out on their own protected circuit and levelled so the light scallops match. Photographed on the evening it was commissioned.
Three-phase board, first fix
A three-phase distribution board mounted and terminated ready for the outgoing ways — main switch in, busbars dressed, and room left in the enclosure for the circuits still to come. Tested and certified before anything gets energised.
Controls, clipped and labelled
Control gear and a small distribution enclosure on an exposed brick wall — cables run in tidy parallel lines, cleats evenly spaced, glands into the bottom of the box. Nobody sees this again for ten years, which is precisely why it's worth doing neatly.
