What we promise

Six things you can hold us to.

No small print theatre — just the handful of things AD & C will hold to on every job, domestic or commercial. If any of them slip, ring Anthony and say so.

01

The person who quotes is the person who comes

Anthony prices the job and Anthony does the job. No subcontracted stranger on the doorstep, no "my lad will be along", no being handed between people who each know half the story.

02

A price before anything starts

You'll have a figure and what it covers before work begins — on the phone for small jobs, after a look for anything larger. If something unexpected turns up behind the plaster, you get a call before a penny more is spent.

03

Tested, certified, explained

Notifiable work is tested and certified to BS 7671, the board is left labelled so the next person can read it, and the paperwork is handed over with the bits that matter pointed out rather than left as jargon.

04

The place left as it was found

Dust sheets down, mess cleared, furniture put back. A customer's own words: "There was no mess and everything was left clean and tidy." That is the baseline, not a good day.

05

Told when it doesn't need doing

If the honest answer is that a job can wait, or that the fitting you were told to replace is fine, you'll hear that. Selling work nobody needs is how a one-man firm runs out of customers.

06

You can ring back

Same mobile number, same person, afterwards as well as before. Reviewers describe using the firm "on a number of occasions" — that only happens if the phone still gets answered once the invoice is paid.
